Record books remember the names of a few, but history is written by the many. We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at a time of significant change. The successful candidate will sit in the heart of our IT team, assisting the business with their technology queries. A tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help us achieve our business goals, the successful candidate will have excellent time management, the ability to work at pace and great communication skills. About the Role: The role sits within our Technical Support Team and its purpose is to ensure the IT services at our Brackley site are well supported and maintained. In it you will; * Respond to IT support requests from clients and staff via phone, email, or chat. * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues. * Build relationships with key stakeholders in the business and maintain a strong customer focus. * Be the first point of contact for IT Incidents and Service Requests. * Work in a fast-paced environment ensuring SLAs and KPI targets are met. * Contribute to the future of the department by adding to our Service Improvement Plans. * Work as part of a team to proactively allocate unassigned tasks. * Proactively check our Meeting Room Audio Visual equipment to ensure high availability. * Be included on a rota to provide out of hours support. * Document IT issues, solutions, and procedures in the knowledgebase platform. * Proactively engage with wider team, utilising monitoring platforms to improve customer experience and security. * Work with our vendors to maintain stock availability and software licence compliance. * Be prepared to learn. We will provide access to training resources to support your development. To be successful you will have: Essential * User account administration in Azure Active Directory experience. * Experience of administration of Office 365. * A strong understanding of the Windows10 desktop environment. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Active Directory, DHCP and DNS experience. * Networking including WAN, LAN and VPN experience. * Administering iOS devices via an MDM solution. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Enthusiastic about technology and be motivated and service driven. * Proven experience as an IT Technical Support Engineer, IT Technician, or similar role. * Microsoft Azure Administration Certification or similar. * ITIL Foundation (v3 or ITIL4). Desirable * Experience of the ServiceNow ticket system. * Linux OS Administration experience. * CompTIA Network+ Certification. * MAC OSX Administration experience. * Experience of virtualisation platforms, preferably VMware.
