Technical Sales manager – vehicle consultancy Due to growth, this automotive R&D consultancy is seeking to take on a new Senior Technical Sales manager to spearhead its driven attribute business both in R&D and Test service. The role will require a minimum of 3 days in the office but allows a hybrid working arrangement. The client based is automotive/defence companies that need assistance engineering and developing chassis and whole vehicle attributes eg steering, braking, dynamics, nvh. Projects can be complex, involve an extended bid process and require international travel and physical and digital presentations of capability What you will do This area of the business is expected to grow significantly. You will work within an existing team and leverage all existing client touch points. Sophisticated software and an excellent team are at your disposal to prospect, bid, cost and sell service solutions to clients. Often this can be at CEO/CE level. The ultimate aim of the role is to successfully win engineering programmes that provide profit for the business and may cascade into to development programmes. Typical bid periods can take several months and project values can run into £millions What you will need Previous experience selling an engineering service within automotive, defence, aerospace or similar industries is required.
