AEX Recruitment is seeking a Technical Quotation Engineer on behalf of our client based in Millbrook, Bedfordshire, a leading company in the field of development and testing within the automotive industry. The TQE will be the technical reference point within the Commercial team but liaise closely on a day-to-day basis with operational and technical colleagues, as well as with customers. The TQE will be the primary quote-writer for the Component Test Laboratory section with the possibility of extending this scope to other areas of the Component activity. The role will provide quote-writing support to the Sales Administration Coordinators for fully standard test procedures and will take the lead on all other more complex requirements, engaging with the Expert Network on new and bespoke test procedures which have not previously been delivered. The role requires a high level of technical competence and experience in the given field and the successful candidate will be comfortable in articulating technical quote content in a clear, concise and professional written format. The candidate will be customer focused, responsive, and have an eye for detail and accuracy, using a new CPQ quoting tool which is currently under development within the Group’s CRM system. The primary roles and responsibilities are: · Technical qualification of leads · Technical qualification of opportunities · Interpretation of customer requirements and procedures · Providing customer consultative guidance in determining the optimum test solution · Providing support to the Sales organisation in attending technical customer meetings · Collation of technical information · Primary responsibility for preparation of technical quotations · Primary responsibility for preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) · Consultation with Expert Network · Providing commercial support to the Operational Project Manager · Providing technical support to the Commercial organisation · Supporting the achievement of order intake forecast within the Activity/Section of scope Qualifications · Degree level or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline.
