Responsible For - Tooling Engineers, Tool Room Operatives, Tooling Calibration Engineers, CSSD (Spares) Manufacturing Engineers and Configuration Manufacturing Engineers. Team size is approx. 13. Role Objective Lead, develop and support a cross-functional team to define, deliver and support safe, high quality, repeatable and cost effective solutions to meet the engineering requirements of the business. Role Requirements * Manage the deployment of team resource in accordance with the business requirements and programme budgets. * Accountable for the technical response to all tooling requests - including new manufacture, repair and calibration. * Accountable for ensuring all demand for spares is met with the appropriate technical response (including RFQ, manufacturing process development, production support and component validation requirements). * Accountable for ensuring all engineering configuration changes are managed in accordance with the programme requirements. * Ensure that all team activities are executed in accordance with all associated health and safety rules and regulations. * Lead the team in accordance with the company human resources policies. * Develop team member capability in accordance with the requirements identified by the departmental skills matrix. * Establish effective working relationships with peers and key stakeholders to ensure that all applicable business activities are suitably supported. * Participate in regular leadership reviews to share best practice and identify opportunities for improvement. * Promote and contribute to the ongoing pursuit of Manufacturing Engineering Excellence. * Monitor team member performance and effectiveness via quantitative assessment (I.e. SQCDPI measures). * Conduct regular team briefings and 1-2-1 sessions with all team members.
