Job Title: Systems Verification Engineer Location: Cheltenham (4 days on-site / 1 remote) Duration: 12 months initially Rate: Negotiable on experience Inside IR35 - Umbrella only Job Description: The Candidate will work as part of the System Verification team on a Large Avionics NPI program delivering a Communications and Control product to an Industry leading Airframer. The Candidate use their technical knowledge to develop both automated and manual tests to verify all systems requirements on a complex and safety critical product. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn GE's proprietary Technologies is desired, initial training will be provided and on-the job learning will be expected over the course of the contract but self-sufficiency and a strong technical skill and problem solving is expected. It is expected that the candidate will have experience of working with safety critical software or electronic hardware and will have an understanding of requirements-based testing The team is highly dynamic and social and we would value any candidate with a track record of problem solving and collaboration, as we strive for continuous improvement in our processes and teams. The Role & Essential Responsibilities Reviewing requirements and developing System verification test artefacts to gain coverage to support entry into service Developing and improving verification test cases Verification compliance analysis, thread pulls and traceability reviews Execute of tests in a lab environment or remotely Analysis of test results Writing of test reports Raising Problem Reports with verification or requirements artefactsQualifications / Requirements A degree in a technical subject from an accredited university/college, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electronics communication protocols and test methods Awareness of the system design lifecycle within aerospace, automotive or similar high integrity system development environment Knowledge of version control Experience of DOORS or other requirements management software Systems / high level software verification experience An understanding of embedded software and / or hardware engineering To apply please send your CVs in the first instance
