Role Overview: Expleo Bristol is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of systems engineers in the development, integration, and testing of complex engineering systems. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of systems engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure the successful execution of projects. Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of systems engineering projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets. Systems Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system architectures, requirements, and specifications based on customer needs and technical constraints. Integration and Testing: Coordinate the integration and testing of missile systems, overseeing verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project deliverables. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and build strong relationships to support future business opportunities. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the systems engineering team, implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and internal processes, maintaining a high level of quality in all deliverables.Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Proven experience in systems engineering within the defence or aerospace industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Solid understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools. Experience with project management techniques and tools, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and DEF STAN.
