Purpose of a Supplier Delivery Co-ordinator To plan, organise, and set firm supplier schedules from a group of approved suppliers that are managed in accordance with established procedures / policies, ensuring consistency of supply whilst managing inventory levels in line with budgetary requirements. Robust cascade of the supplier orderbooks, communicating delivery requirements against the company MPS; providing effective delivery plans that are commitment accepted by the external suppliers. Provide feedback on short, medium term supplier delivery performance in the form of a supplier score card informing the buying team of any future sourcing risk based on demonstrated performance KPI’s Key Responsibilities General and Task Management Ensure external Supplier Deliveries are aligned with the operational requirements across multiple customer programmes being a critical function of the role expectations. Be the key supply chain focal contact for all manufacturing needs, ensuring delivery information is communicated daily on the line walks across all manufacturing sites. To manage supplier performance for delivery requirements, resolving processes and complex problems within the external supplier chain ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner. Co-ordination of the supplier(s) regular order books maintaining accurate and achievable delivery commitments against set targets. To co-ordinate part-based delivery schedules from the buying team that meet the MRP schedules set out in the master-schedule. Running system programme reports, summarising supplier shortage status. Ability to summarise and forecast purchase shortages based on information generated acting where supply and demand does not match. Key Performance Measures * On-time delivery to the company master production schedule (MRP) * Full visibility of all supplier programme shortages with action plans in place for full part(s) recovery to meet the operational needs * Report out on Delivery KPI (OTIF) and Supplier Quality KPI (OTQ) by defined supplier ownership * Execute and return of full supplier order book weekly managing firm delivery dates that can be communicated in the executive system. * Robust management of the Supply Chain Exception Messages for Supply Delays, Expedites or order Cancellations to align planned inventory levels to fit with the companies needs Knowledge, Education, and Skills Knowledge: * Supply chain management experience * Strong analytical capability (supply chain, operational and financial) * Business and operations process understanding * Planning and Organising * Teamwork & Collaboration * Accountability & responsibility * Problem solving and decision making * Cost / Budget awareness * Customer focused (internal and external) Education * Experience in, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field is strongly preferred; equivalent vocational qualifications will also be considered * Experience influencing and / or negotiating at senior level within the external suppliers * Experience of Supplier Relationship management – ideally through a structured assessment and process improvement approach Skills and competencies * Articulate and confident in leading a geographically dispersed team and in creating a shared vision * Skilled at managing across differing business and regional cultures * Strong team player able to work and contribute as part of the wider UK Supply Chain function * Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clarity situations that require honesty and candour * Strong process orientation and problem-solving orientation * Management of the supplier Order Book preparation, distribution, and commitment acceptance of a doable delivery schedule * Supplier negotiations skills Professional Experience * Ideally 3 years' experience in a supplier delivery operational role * Proficiency in MS Office suite of tools * Performance measurement systems * Supplier relationship management * Working in a manufacturing environment is a necessity with sound understanding of MRP and scheduling data sets Key Relationships & interaction Internal Relationships & Interactions: Confident working with senior business leadership at suppliers and within ACS if required External Relationships & Interactions: Confident working with suppliers of all sizes Other material requirements Limited travel among sites may be required to support the business Benefits Employer Pension Contribution Life Assurance Simply Health- 24/7 GP Services, Dental, Optician (Option to enchance for you and family members) Employee Assistance Programme- Confidential support for employees Training, Learning and Development Opportunities AVIC Cabin Systems UK Ltd is an equal opportunities employer
