Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for an Subject Matter Expert - Data Privacy Law to join a world leading Auotmotive company, and the role comes with a contract rate of £40.51 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35). This contract is initially for 8 months and will require being on site in Gaydon 1-2 times a week. As an Subject Matter Expert - Data Privacy Law, you will review and risk-assess complex product engineering projects that handle personal data in line with the EU and UK data protection legislation (EU/UK General Data Protection Act, GDPR). In your first week in this Subject Matter Expert - Data Privacy Law, you can expect to: Subject Matter Expert - Data Privacy Law This role will act as an Subject Matter Expert within the Data Advisory team within Product Engineering to review and risk assess complex Product Engineering projects that handle personal data in line with the EU and UK Data Protection Legislation (EU/UK General Data Protection Act, GDPR). Such projects may include: in-vehicle infotainment features, cloud based processing, software development, Mobile Apps, Assisted and Automotive Driving technologies, ""Connected vehicle"" products and services. The role will advise Engineering colleagues on the Privacy requirements that their project must comply by identifying and articulating: high risk processing complex data flows the role of third parties' handling data international data transfers industry specific guidelines data minimisation techniques data subject rights adherence. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Extensive experience working as a dedicated Privacy professional. Previous experience advising on technical/ technology based processes in the automotve sector. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate complex legal arguments to Engineering colleagues. Proven experience of managing a heavy workload in a fast paced environment. Ability to problem solve.
