What you’ll do: As Sub Contract Buyer you’ll be responsible for raising purchase orders including: planning delivery schedules, keying purchase orders and monitoring open order reports. Your main responsibilities will be to: Ensure optimal delivery of supplier materials. Work closely with other teams within the supply chain function. Working towards internal targets and deadlines. Attend and contrabute towards production meetings. Managing purchase order backlog, ensuring order dates and notations are updated. Load purchase orders onto system for consignment stock and calibration requirements. Ben te first point of contact for our suppliers, to include internal and external visits.  What you’ll need: Be highly organised, motivated and forward thinking.  Have a proactive, can-do attitude to support the wider supply chain team with achieving the monthly targets. Ideally have experience within an engineering or manufacturing environemnt.  Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
