Job Title: Structural Design Engineer Location: North West England, Lancashire, Samlesbury Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Aerospace and Aviation Job Duties: Developing and designing structural components and systems for aerospace and aviation projects Conducting analysis and calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry regulations Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into overall project requirements Utilising CAD software to create detailed design drawings and specifications Participating in design reviews and providing technical guidance on structural design aspects Performing risk assessments and proposing solutions to design challenges Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Proven experience in structural design within the aerospace or aviation industry Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to structural design Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Experience: Proven experience in structural design within the aerospace or aviation industry Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in CAD software for structural design Understanding of stress analysis and finite element methods Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes used in aerospace industry Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field Professional engineering certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) Experience with advanced structural analysis tools and software Working Conditions: The role is based in an office environment at Samlesbury.
