Ganymede Solutions are seeking to hire a Store’s Person to join one of the UK’s leading train operators in the North with a strong track record of investing in their staff. This is an initial 6-month contract for a Store’s Operative with a wonderful opportunity to be taken on permanently as the organisation continues to expand their workforce. Your Role: As a Stores Person you shall be at the core supporting the service engineers and technicians their day-to-day train maintenance activities. The Stores Operative plays a key role in ensuring all materials and parts available on hand to carry out crucial maintenance works on the train. You MUST hold a forklift license to be considered for this role. This is a Mon to Fri roster covering the hours of (Apply online only) with overtime available on the weekends. Mon to Fri: (Apply online only) Overtime schedule: 0600 – 1800 (Day Shifts) 1800 – 0600 (Night Shifts) This will be available at the discretion of the management team. This is truly a unique role as a Stores Person as you will be part of a team the plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the train depot. You will be responsible for regular inventory checks, daily good in and goods out support and efficiently supporting rolling stock engineers and technicians with materials and parts requests. It is also an excellent opportunity to join the railway sector which present several career opportunities in the futures. All successful applicants will be required to hold a forklift truck license. What We Offer: Pay Rates: £12.00, increasing to £12.65p/h after 13 weeks As a Store’s Person, we are looking for dependable, hardworking individual with a willingness to learn and adapt. The ideal candidate should have experience in inventory management, forklift or yard operation although training will be provided. This will include coding parts, parts location and internal SAP training.
