If you are dedicated to inspiring young minds and fostering a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, we would love to hear from you! 2024  Responsibilities of a STEM Coordinator: Teach within Science, Design Technology, and Mathematics departments. Organize and promote STEM-related activities, including Year 5 STEM Challenge days and supporting the Design Technology Club. Increase involvement in national STEM initiatives, competitions, and extracurricular activities. Collaborate with colleagues for primary school outreach and act as liaison with partner schools for Design Technology and Science. Coordinate with the Careers Department to organize science and engineering talks. Monitor and manage the implementation of the STEM plan, including overseeing resources and the STEM budget with relevant departments. Lead cross-curricular projects, such as "Building for the Future," and organize summer science trips to educational destinations. Qualifications of a STEM Coordinator: Qualified Teacher Status to teach Science, Design Technology, and Mathematics. Proven ability to organize and run STEM activities and events, including primary school outreach. Experience in monitoring and evaluating project implementation, as well as managing budgets and staff development. Strong communication skills for liaising with partner schools, companies, and various school departments. Demonstrated ability to increase involvement in national STEM initiatives and competitions, and to organize events like National Science and Engineering Week.
