Oaklands Global are currently looking to recruit a Sr Powerplant Engineer for a reputable client based in the UK. In this position, you'll oversee multiple commercial engine projects for both external clients and internal requirements. Your role will encompass various responsibilities, from virtual powerplant management to negotiating service agreements and optimising maintenance costs. Responsibilities * Act as the primary point of contact for airline clients regarding virtual powerplant management. * Conduct fleet planning and forecast maintenance costs. * Optimise removal planning and engine disposition. * Implement initiatives to reduce costs. * Track and report Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) data. * Manage all aspects of engine shop visit events, including work scope compilation, inspection attendance, repair oversight, and invoice review. * Negotiate service agreements with OEMs and MRO suppliers. * Review, analyse, and negotiate engine lease, sale, and purchase contracts from a technical standpoint. * Provide support for new engine selection. * Manage engine transitions, including audits, inspections, and run overviews. * Prepare technical reports and manage documentation. * Mentor and support Powerplant consultants and Engineers. * Assist in pursuing new business opportunities. * Attend OEM technical conferences. Key Requirements: * Experience in a powerplant-focused role. * Preferably degree qualified. * Experience in airline powerplant management is desirable. * Strong technical knowledge of CFM, P&W, GE, IAE, and RR products. * Solid commercial and financial acumen. * Proficiency in MS Office suite. * Competent in project management and resource management. * Self-motivated and quality driven. * Excellent communication skills. * Eligible to live and work in the UK/Wales. * role may involve frequent international travel at short notice.
