SERVICE ADVISOR Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire Salary: £30,000 Basic | Up to £38,000 OTE + Company Benefits OVERVIEW An established automotive retailer is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join its busy Aftersales team in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor or customer service professional with automotive experience to join a successful dealership environment where customer satisfaction and service excellence are at the heart of the business. Acting as the link between customers and the workshop, the successful candidate will ensure a smooth and efficient service journey from booking through to vehicle collection. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Welcome customers and manage all service and repair enquiries. • Accurately record vehicle concerns and create workshop job cards. • Liaise with Technicians and the workshop team regarding vehicle progress and repair requirements. • Keep customers fully informed throughout the repair and service process. • Prepare estimates and obtain authorisation for additional work where required. • Promote service plans, maintenance packages and approved aftersales products. • Manage vehicle handovers and explain completed work clearly and professionally. • Ensure all administrative processes and documentation are completed accurately. • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. • Support the achievement of departmental sales and performance objectives. • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently. • Maintain manufacturer and dealership standards at all times. CANDIDATE PROFILE • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or customer-facing automotive professional. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding service. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. • Good administrative and IT skills. • Full UK Driving Licence preferred. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE • Franchised dealership experience. • Knowledge of automotive service and repair processes. • Experience using dealership management systems. • Understanding of service plans, maintenance products and aftersales sales opportunities.
