Logical Personnel is recruiting in behalf of a leading Industrial Services company. Due to increased workload, reflecting the company’s growth in the waste-to-energy sector, my client is looking for: Senior Workshop Fitter (HGV & Plant) to based out of their Scunthorpe depot. Role Overview Maintain and repair our fleet of machines, comprising of a fleet of up to 30 machines and vehicles, including Disab machines, high-pressure water jetting equipment, HGVs, and commercial vans. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste-to-energy services, working within a team to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct maintenance and repair work on Disab machines, high-pressure water jetting equipment, HGVs, tanks, and long-wheelbase vans. * Carry out scheduled services and reactive repairs to minimise equipment downtime. * Mentor and supervise two workshop colleagues, ensuring best practices are followed. * Strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment. * Participate in occasional weekend and call-out work, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate. Requirements: * Fully qualified in automotive or mechanical fitting. * Ideally HGV Class 1 trained but HGV Class 2 will be OK * A CCNSG safety passport is desirable but not essential. * Experience working with industrial machinery and vehicles, ideally in a similar environment. * Strong awareness of health and safety standards. * Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to varied tasks. * Ability to guide and support junior workshop staff.
