Role: SENIOR VALIDATION + EMC TEST ENGINEER Area: EMC & ENVIRONMENTAL Location: Warwick Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 (wide bracket as depends on level of experience). We are looking for a Senior Validation Test Engineer to join our busy team and coordinate and run test activities in the EMC and environmental test facility. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Define EMC and environmental test requirements for in-house and client projects Develop comprehensive test plans and schedules ensuring efficient validation testing Conduct EMC testing for pre-compliance and compliance adhering to defined standards Support the growth of the test and validation business unit, both with facility development and business development Support the business in achieving and maintaining ISO17025 accreditation with UKAS Analysing test results and supporting the system and hardware engineers and customers with development of products to obtain certification Effective communication of test results and status to cross functional engineering team and management Staying up-to-date with industry standards and trends in the field of EMC and environmental testing, validation and certification Ensure test facilities and equipment are well maintained Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance validation processes SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in EMC testing, preferably in the Automotive sector Experience of design for EMC compliance Ability to work with System and Hardware Engineers to implement EMC design practices, working around real life complications/necessary compromises Keen attention to detail is essential Previous experience in giving direction to test technicians for test setup and execution Strong customer facing skills Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Self-motivated with the ability to train others Excellent organisational and project management skills Ability to deliver to strict deadlines PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of automotive standards for EMC and environmental compliance, including CISPR 25, ISO 11452, IEC 60068, ISO 16750 and be able to understand and apply customer specific test procedures Testing of automotive products and systems in EMC Laboratories Demonstrable knowledge on finding solutions for EMC problems in late stages of product design Benefits: Unlimited leave 5% employer's pension contribution Salary sacrifice pension scheme available Group life insurance (four times basic annual salary) with Employee Assistance Programme Group income protection insurance Optional private medical insurance How to apply?
