Main purpose of the job: The Senior Supply Chain Manager will lead and provide direction to the operational supply chain teams across multiple plants or value streams ensuring the local teams are overseeing all day-to-day supply chain activities consistent with IAC Group Supply Chain policies and processes. To manage forecasting and demand analysis, production planning and scheduling, customer service and delivery, inventory planning and control, supplier scheduling, and capacity management activities. Main missions and results: •Plans, organizes and conducts activities within supply chain in an effective manner towards achieving the common objectives of IAC Group through planning, managing and co-ordinating all activities related to the scheduling and sequencing of raw materials, components and packaging needed to meet the changing levels of product demand •Manage and ensure the conversion of demand plans and build plans into workable material and production plans •Define operational supply strategies including demand, inventory levels and safety buffers to meet customer demand and increase stock turnover monitoring and correcting inventory levels at warehouses and within plant for raw materials, WIP or FG, to ensure rotation and maximise working capital •Liaise with procurement on improvement in the total cost of ownership (price, quality, MOQs, lead time, payment terms, supply solutions) •Work directly with sales and commercial teams to determine most cost-effective distribution solutions for finished goods transportation to customers •Work directly with freight forwarders, transportation companies and 4PL to optimise routes and rates as well as review and approve freight terms and agreements in cooperation with central Supply Chain team reviewing monthly cost and exception reports to implement improvements. •Responsible for routinely reporting on KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures ensuring both customer and internal metrics are maintained at acceptable levels through a team level continuous improvement plan with defined actions, responsibilities and delivery dates that are clearly understood by the team •Drive proper utilisation of IT systems to support the Production Unit ensuring system parameters are maintained according to business planning requirements •Maintain high standards of housekeeping, including the organisation and storage of materials and equipment •Participates in the process of creation, control and responsibility for the freight and inventory plant level budgets in line with agreed targets, supporting the corporate supply chain team, on cost saving initiatives, achievement of logistics, inventory budgets, days on hand (DOH), freight and customer performance targets •Assist and audit the plants on the safe operation of material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines for: o Forklifts o Tuggers o Docks, dock locks, chocks, doors, plates o Switchers, trucks and trailers o Storage, racking and warehousing o Develop CI actions to ensure compliance • Lead the plants on the implementation of the IAC SCM BASIACs; understand the gaps and implement a plan with the support of SCM central to mitigate and increase the skill level of team members and function. •Facilitate the plant physical inventory and cycle counting processes and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate policy and full end to end root cause analysis with permanent corrective actions being undertaken •Responsible for the management and mitigation of excess inventory, obsolescence mitigation identifying opportunities for claims through effective NPI, revision control and balancing out. •Assist the plants with the implementation of a robust escalation process with increasing levels of communication, both internal and external, ensuring all stakeholders are kept fully briefed of any potential delays to shipment prior to their occurrence •Assist the plants with the deployment of PFEP, LRP, Escalation and other corporate tools •Provide leadership and guidance to the team enabling coaching, training, 1-2-1’s, development plans and maintenance of team skills matrix. •Undertake annual team performance reviews •Ensure team and plant readiness and participation in execution of TS 16949, internal/external & SOX Audit Ensure corrective actions are in place for any customer delivery score non conformance with full root cause analysis and input into relevant customer and business reporting. •Facilitate team meetings and participate as required in business level meetings. •Participate in launch or bid reviews to ensure supply chain objectives are understood and met. •Establish 5S mentality and criteria, undertake audits and report finding Preferred Skills and Experience: •Extensive experience in a Supply Chain Management role coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team •Experience in facilitating physical inventory management and cycle counting regimens •Business management degree or supply chain related Institute membership or similar •In depth knowledge of MRP, MRPII, ERP and capacity planning in a manufacturing environment •Experience of working directly with external partners such as 4PL logistics, carriers and suppliers •Possesses a strong analytical background with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy •Knowledge and experience of lean, JIT, Kanban, consignment stock, sequencing and VMI principles •Sound understanding of Quality, Business and OEM systems/standards, e.g. IATF16949 •Proven leadership and management skills within a challenging environment Good knowledge of structured problem-solving tools and methodologies •Excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels in local language and English •Excellent presentation skills •Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint •Excellent motivator, self-starting, with an enthusiastic approach •Strong leader, able to manage teams to achieve supply chain goals and objectives •Has strong commercial awareness
