Axiscades is an engineering consultancy and my client, JLR is looking for a Mobile Automation test engineer role. * Role: Senior Mobile Software Test Automation Engineer LOCATION: MANCHESTER / HYBRID * Experience of automation testing native mobile applications in multi-disciplinary teams * Experience in implementing mobile test strategies for faster feedback loops and to improve testing outcomes * Strong programming skills and experience with an OO language such as Python, JavaScript or Typescript * Experience with Appium, Webdriver.io and cross device testing on iOS and Android platforms * Experience of testing APIs and relational database technologies such as MySQL or similar * Experience of implementing and using cloud based device farms * Experienced advocate for practices such as Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming * Experience with source code management and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) * Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques * Desirable: * Experience in BDD and creating tests using Gherkin syntax * Experience working with observability and monitoring tools such as Firebase or similar * Experience of non-functional testing in a mobile environment
