To join an ongoing and expanding project team engaged in RF & EO threat modelling and countermeasures within a digital environment utilising Simulink, Vivado etc., in order to facilitate synthetic testing within the Air, Maritime & Cyber domains. Role FPGA Model development, engineering support, innovation and research, project, training and bid delivery and support. Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop knowledge of the operations of weapons systems, defensive systems and the technology behind them. Manage a team of staff through the development of models. Manage a team of staff through 1-to-1 meetings and advise on appropriate support and training to develop skills and gain experience. Report activities and metrics as required to senior members of the EWOS team, including project managers. Expand your knowledge of the FPGA build process, including tools such as Simulink & Vivado. Expand your knowledge of constructing a Simulink model of a system which can be loaded into an appropriate FPGA. Provide support to; Developing junior staff members Configuration of models and test materials. Developing models. Formulate and understand complex mathematical algorithms and their implementation, or maintenance, in software models using a range of languages. Provision of innovative ideas in respect to model operation and simulation. Liaising with customers in a professional manner, as required. Running tests and recording data. Unit test of assigned items to ensure conformance of the item with its designed specification. Creating and debugging code, while adhering to appropriate coding standards or agreed standards. Operation of testing hardware and software, e.g., signal generators and analysers. Activity planning. Qualifications/Experience STEM Degree/Understanding of FPGA programming concepts Experience with a number of the following Matlab/Simulink experience. Vivado/Xilinx ISE Experience with modelling & simulation VHDL Platform protection experience i.e., countermeasure development. Experience managing staff. Understanding of RF/IR principles
