Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Cambs – performance & motorsport Ideal opportunity for experienced automotive design engineer to work for a specialised medium sized supplier of low volume precision automotive systems based in Huntingdon. Working on steering system, this role has full design responsibility for novel and reverse engineered solutions. What you will do * Create 2d and 3D design solutions of manual, epas and hydraulic steering systems down to component level. Using Autodesk Inventor * Structural and cfd analysis * DFMEA, customer liaison, design reviews What you will need * Previous component design experience within motorsport, aero, automotive (not just packaging). Steering is not essential but it should be chassis, powertrain, suspension related * Ability to do handcalcs or use cae modules * Must be able to work from Huntington and be eligible to work without sponsorship What you will get * Full design responsibility.
