Due to increase in workload, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently looking for a Senior Contracts Officer to join their existing team in Rochdale on a 6 to 12 month contract. The Role This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines with a sound ability to cope with multiple complex, multi-work-stream opportunities simultaneously. Within the role of Senior Contracts Officer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Preparing the commercial aspects of bids, working with the Estimating Officer as required with respect to the pricing aspects of each bid, ensuring the timely submission of the bids, taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, with all necessary procedures and governance adherence / sign off. Produce, and where relevant assist with production of, high quality final bid documents within defined tender deadlines. Provide commercial support to the Business Development team to assist with the securing of new opportunities with existing and new customer base and acting as the primary Commercial point of contact for those customers. Organise and lead the associated Gate Reviews for bids, producing high quality PowerPoint presentations. In addition, you should have basic contracts terms and conditions knowledge to support the Senior Legal & Commercial Manager with respect to terms and conditions queries and contract negotiations. You To succeed within the role of Senior Contracts Officer, you'll have the following skills: Continually attain satisfactory compliance with Quality, Safety, Security and HSE requirements. Qualified to Higher Level in Business or associated discipline and / or previous experience in an opportunity, sales, bid environment for complex bids. Strong commercial acumen with understanding of terms and conditions. Computer literate and proficient in the use of MS software particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. In addition, you should also have good organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and react quickly and confidently to urgent requirements. Please note that due to security nature of this role, we can only consider those who can provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer and is eligible to obtain SC security clearance.
