Purpose of the Senior CNC Programmer role: Our client is looking for a Senior CNC Programmer to take responsibility for shop floor processes, implement new processes if needed, be responsible for a small team, and be the sole programmer for the CNC machines. Main duties and responsibilities of a Senior CNC Programmer: . CNC Turning on CNC Sliding Head machine tools Preferably Star and Fixed Head Lynx. . Responsible for shop floor processes and also implementing new processes if needed. . Quality Management . Programming Setting and Operating CNC Sliding Heads with Fanuc controls (Citizen or Star experience). . Working from engineering drawings, producing components from various materials such as Steels, Ali, Titanium, Duplex, Super Duplex, and Inconel. . Batch sizes range from 100s off to 1000s off depending on the customers' needs. Experience/knowledge requirements for a Senior CNC Programmer: . Must have experience working on CNC Sliding Head lathes and Fixed Head. . Able to program set and operate CNC Sliding Head lathes and Fixed Head - Min 3 years experience. . Experience producing components from engineering drawings. . Basic understanding of ISO9001. . Knowledge of Health and safety procedures. . Experience with managing tooling.
