Function Mechanical Workshop Senior Machinist Purpose of the Role To Program, Set & Operate the CNC controlled machines within the mechanical Workshop Principal Accountabilities * To set & operate machinery efficiently and produce high quality parts * Manage time & workload effectively * Inspect own work to a high standard * Advise other team members on ‘industry best practice’ * Set a good example and coach lower-level machine operators Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience * Proven record in CNC machine operation and programming using machine and offline CAM methods. * Knowledge of Mazatrol controls. * Knowledge of Edgecam software will be an advantage. * Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure guidelines are followed and machinery and equipment are operated safely. * Has developed proficiency in a range of relevant processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise. * Good time management. * Great attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards and efficiency. * Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvement. * Good understanding of working in similar high technology environment. * Ability to understand and read engineering drawings. * Highly competent in using a wide range of measuring equipment.
