Semi Skilled Welder/Fabricator Location: Shrewsbury Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, (Apply online only) Salary: £12.00 per hour depending on experience Igloo is looking for Semi Skilled Welder/Fabricators to join our client’s team in Shrewsbury. Our client is one of the UK’s leading automotive companies, with operations throughout the country. What you’ll be doing: Following suitable on-the-job training, the successful candidate will: * Utilise MIG and TIG welding techniques to weld various materials, such as aluminium and steel. * Form sections and panels through the use of press brakes. * Assist in the final assembly of new bodies to vehicle chassis. * Perform repairs on existing vehicle bodies and structures. * Assist in the fitting of repaired vehicle components, including tipping gears and hydraulic equipment. * Ensure that all work is completed in line with Health and Safety legislation. What we need from you: * Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, machinery or workshop settings would be advantageous. * Good dexterity and coordination. * Ability and willingness to learn processes and techniques in a hands-on environment. * An interest in commercial bodybuilding, such as tippers and commercial bodies. * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. * Excellent health and safety awareness. * Full driving licence. * Good time management skills.
