Semi Skilled Operator / Yeovil / £15.34 per hour Working as a Semi Skilled Operator at our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Organisation within the Copper Plate Facility, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Masking of Components: Ensuring precise masking of components according to specifications to facilitate the plating process. Turbex Operation: Operating Turbex machinery efficiently and safely to achieve optimal results in component preparation. CPL Work Setup: Setting up workstations and processes on CPL (Copper Plate Line) for smooth production flow. De-Embrittlement Oven: Loading and unloading components from the de-embrittlement oven, maintaining meticulous records of the process. Vacuum Blasting: Cleaning parts using vacuum blasting techniques to prepare them for further processing. Alarm Response: Promptly responding to process alarms and emergency alarms to minimize downtime and ensure safety. Business Improvement: Actively participating in business improvement activities, including assisting in producing SOPs, process manuals, and engaging in 5C and 5 why analysis. Team Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a small team, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary. Training: Willingness and enthusiasm to participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in the role. Requirements: Basic literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE level or above. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
