WHAT TO EXPECT Do you have experience in automotive product launch experience, and are looking to take the next step in your career?   As the Reman Lead Engineer – Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), you’ll be responsible for enhancing the Product and Reman ‘product portfolio’ by defining and delivering engineering support for BEV / PHEV Batteries, increasing revenue & profit, and return substantial warranty cost savings to JLR.  Product & Reman Programs is an integral part of Revenue and Loyalty, within the Global Customer Service division of JLR’s Commercial Organisation. Its primary function is to facilitate the delivery of Product that will contribute to Global Revenue/Profit targets, through understanding market needs/problems and delivering programs to help Regions, and Importers to generate increasing levels of Revenue, Profit and Retention.  You’ll act as technical lead for Global HV Battery Repair Hubs BEV / PHEV Traction Batteries, liaising with a number of business functions (Non-Production Purchasing, Core Engineering, Technical Services, Commercial Finance) and Suppliers, to deliver quality components, approved by all key stakeholders, on-time and to budget. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of working on developing first to market processes and techniques. There are also international travel opportunities. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Collate and review new product warranty data and failure modes which may impact Repair hubs Manage / deliver the engineering activity for BEV Remanufacture deliverables within the required gateways Develop and manage key HV Battery Repair hub Engineering processes Release service part numbers by future commodity and to support current programme projects (maximise core recovery) Advise 'Best Practice' for process solutions using disciplined methodology e.g. 6 sigma / Poka-Yoke Understand latest Battery 4Rs circular economy strategies and how they should influence product design  WHAT YOU’LL NEED   As the Reman Lead Engineer – Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience: Previous experience in the specification, delivery, installation and launch of products, preferably in an automotive environment Previous experience with parts release/Change management systems Knowledge of problem-solving tools e.g. Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving, Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in Manufacturing  Travel (occasional visits to suppliers and major Markets may be required from time to time; flexibility is required) Relevant degree or equivalent experience/qualification 3D CAD model reviewer experience  You'll be highly organised and meticulous in planning with excellent attention to detail whilst being a confident and effective multitasker. You'll also be process-orientated, resilient and enthusiastic. In addition, you’ll be able to deliver results under pressure, while responding constructively to new ideas and inputs.
