Reliability Engineer – West Midlands Salary: £46,000 - £48,000 Reliability Engineer required by a tier 1 Automotive company specialising internationally in the design, development, and manufacture of innovative products to increase vehicle safety, whilst reducing weight, and combatting energy consumption & environmental impact. As Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for equipment reliability and improvements within the business unit (BU), analysing downtime data whilst working closely with the Maintenance Coordinator to action problem solving and route cause analysis, preventing reoccurrence/repeat issues. Other responsibilities include: Assess/ develop the TPM system to include predictive maintenance and prevent breakdowns. Identify risks with equipment and create plans to correct them before they become breakdowns. Use asset MTBF data to focus and drive action. Support Maintenance techs with Complex breakdowns Conduct Major Breakdown Investigations and Implement identified countermeasures. Attend BU and departmental meetings as and when required or directed. Continuous Review & Improvement of TPM schedules and tasks to focus from a reliability perspective. Identify/maintain Spares requirement. About you: Suitably qualified (electrical/maintenance apprenticeship or time serviced with EAL/C&G) Strong experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment (ideally automotive) Experience in TMP systems and Continuous Improvement.
