Reporting to our Luton Test House manager, Applus are looking for a highly experienced and motivated industrial radiographer to be part of an elite group who can be relied upon to act as ambassadors carrying out radiography testing (RT) services at both the Luton Test house as well as on our client’s premises. The technician shall undertake Radiography Inspection work to the highest quality and safety standards, and in full accordance with Applus procedures and standards for a variety of clients in various sectors including Aerospace, Oil and Gas, and Waste to energy projects. Responsibilities: - * Carry out Radiography, recording & reporting of results, calibrations & control checks * Liaison with Company appointed RPS’s regards to Local Rules requirements, and company approved procedures * Responsible for ensuring all Controlled Area’s on site/base comply with the Local Rules and IRR regulations. * Ensure all Radiographic results are reported correctly with regards to clients and companies codes and procedures and all work is carried out in accordance to Site/Base Local Rules. * Responsible for making sure all Radiographic equipment is signed in and out as appropriate and is kept in good working order. * Working to all RAD specific procedures including Stamp Procedure, Workflow etc. * Maintaining all RAD equipment including dark room in a safe and tidy manner * Following all safety rules at all times, reporting any dangerous situations to the RPS or Supervisor Experience required: - * Prior experience of conducting radiography testing and other complimentary NDT services in both workshop and site environments * Sound working knowledge of the relevant national/international codes or standards, applicable to NDT. * Be able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels, including client facing communications on projects being undertaken. * Demonstrable knowledge of safe working methods in a radiography environment What do we offer you? * Competitive Salary * Life insurance and pension * Generous holiday entitlement * On site free parking * Flexible benefits and cashback rewards * Ongoing training & development opportunities throughout your career We are committed to diversity, and we encourage applications from all qualified individuals.
