QUALITY MANAGER £45,000 to £60,000 Per Annum 41 hours per week Permanent role Responsible for: Overall implementation of the Quality Management System operated within the business and continual improvement to the effectiveness of this system. Responsible to: Directors Role: ·Ensure that the customer’s needs and expectations are determined and fulfilled. ·Communicate the importance of meeting customer’s needs, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements throughout the company’s workforce. ·Manage the activities of the Quality Inspection department. ·Motivating and leading staff within the quality department ·Integrating the Quality Dept activities into the core operations of the company. Ensuring that processing customer work through quality department runs smoothly to meet customer needs and expectations. ·The role will require a need to be QA as well as hands within the inspection department to manage and to assist inspection department staff and to deal with all QA (eg. customer issues / taking lead with audits etc) Duties/Responsibilities: ·Responsible for Process Approval / Contract Review ·Document control over internal and customer specifications / standards. ·Responsible for raising and signing off internal, supplier and customer non-conformance reports. ·Raising and logging of process concessions with suppliers and customers. ·Verification of raw materials goods in inspection ·Media control monitoring and validation ·Internal and external audits ·Customer liaison over matters of quality ·Data collection for regular management review as specified in quality manual, and associated documentation, ·To participate in the effective training of apprentices/employees. Compliance: The role of the Quality Manager will be guided by the requirements of the company’s quality policy incorporating any certification issued (e.g.ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP) Training: ·The Quality Manager will keep up to date with any relevant changes to standards and inform Directors. ·Relevant training to equip the Quality Manager in this role will be identified and undertaken where appropriate. Other: As part of the company’s small team of senior managers, the postholder may be required to assist the directors and other managers in the running of the company – this may involve additional responsibilities as reasonably required.
