AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager who can provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality. Develop quality-process links with customers inline with the Quality Management system (including: IATF16949, ISO14001 / ISO 9001). You are required to have a working experience in Automotive industry due to the nature of this position. You will be esponsible for maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers to maximise profit potential and ensure efficiency. Work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a programme of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Monitoring the production line and doing periodic Quality Control checks * Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes * Provide support to engineering department, in particular, APQP and IMDS. * Responsible for delivering on time PPAP submissions. * Ensure a system is in place for calibration of quality inspection gauges, tools and machinery. * Implementing improvements to production processes that lead to overall increases in product quality * Develop, monitor and display metrics for internal / external parts per million and number of customer concerns. * Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, pokayokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures * Writing reports on design, preproduction, and production to check on the quality status of the product at all stages of production and inform the rest of the production team * Complying with ISO and IATF accreditation requirements * Auditing materials provided by suppliers to assure quality before incorporation into the product * Assessing the product's quality by testing for a range of features and seeing how the product performs under stresses like impact, temperature, humidity, etc. * Investigating causes of quality problems and proposing solutions * Manage, coach and develop a high performing Quality Operations team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements * Utilising extensive knowledge of the product's inner workings to diagnose problems * Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations * Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: * Working experience of min. 3 years in Quality Management * Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive * Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers * Working knowledge of IATF 16949 accreditation * Excellent leadership and man management skills * Strong problem solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas * A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach BENEFITS: * 33 days holidays (inclusive of 8 statutory) * Statutory Pension * Company Sick Pay Scheme * Private Medical Insurance * Car Park * Mobile Phone We are an equal opportunity employer.
