Purpose of the Role: To ensure conforming composite, metallic, or tooling parts are released from inspection to their next operation, whether it be a manufacturing operation or build task. Principal Accountabilities: Measure parts using all available methods within the team's inspection capability, focusing on three key areas: Measurement of all required features of final race car parts before release to build. Measurement of sub-components before their next operation. Measurement of tooling parts before their next operation. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: A fully indentured engineering background in precision engineering or a similar industry. Experience with composite inspection and manufacturing processes. Previous work in an inspection department using modern and conventional technology to measure precision components. Experience with PCDIMIS, Polyworks, VX Elements, GOM Inspect, Faro/Power Inspect is advantageous. Strong knowledge of GD&T is required. Exemplary attention to detail. Fully computer literate, including the use of an MRP system. Personal Attributes: Must be focused and able to work methodically, even under pressure.
