Following investment and expansion, a leading manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for a Quality Inspector to join the team. Candidates are sought with experience inspecting machined components on CMM machines in line with customer standards and completing the associated documents in line with requirements. Commutable from: Hinckley, Leicester, Nuneaton, Rugby, Coventry, Tamworth, Market Harborough. Salary: £ 30,000 – £ 36,000 p.a. + overtime + benefits Suitable for: CMM Inspector, Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Inspector, Quality Technician. The Role Program/operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Read an interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Perform first-off inspections. Visually inspect components for surface defects. Recommend rejection, rework or re-test as required. Generate Non-conformance reports (NCR) Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) Maintain measuring equipment. Makes recommendations for improvements. Use standard metrology techniques, including hand gauges. Ensuring compliance with standards from regulatory authorities. The Candidate Experience interpreting and working to customer drawings and specifications. Good understanding of First Principle measuring techniques. Experience using measuring equipment.
