NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer to join a well established CNC manufacturer. Our client is a precision engineering company located in Taunton, South West England. The company specializes in manufacturing and supplying precision machined parts & assemblies to industries such as; aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, and medical. With a focus on medium to high-volume, repeat batch production. Our client is known for its exceptional quality and on-time delivery performance. The company has held ISO9001 certification for over 30 years, and is currently going through the process of attaining AS9100D certification to support our continued growth in the aero & defence markets. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality / Metrology Engineer at Coker Engineering Ltd in Taunton. The successful candidate will be responsible for CMM programming (Hexagon Optiv Performance 443 - PC-DMIS) along with programming other metrology equipment, assisting with QC methodology development during new product introduction, and ensuring the control & correct implementation of QC equipment throughout the facility. Day-to-day tasks include conducting quality assessments, implementing quality control processes, authority over the gauge management system, and collaborating with production teams to improve the performance of the business relative to key quality metrics. Qualifications * Experience in a Quality Engineering, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance role * Familiarity with Precision Engineering & CNC Machining methods * At ease with 2D technical drawings & the related international standards, including detailed geometric tolerancing * Ability to manipulate & interrogate 3D models in various file formats * Experience operating / programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) * Familiarity with HighQA software would be beneficial * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Attention to detail and accuracy * Knowledge of ISO standards and quality assurance processes * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you feel you are the right candidate for the role, apply now
