Position: Quality Engineer Location: Cheltenham Role: Permanent Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum Key Responsibilities and Duties: • Prioritisation of inspections in response to project demands • Rigorous implementation of recording, reporting, and managing non-conforming parts/products • Quarantining non-conforming parts in accordance with company procedures • Creation and maintenance of Quality Control Inspection Records • Correct selection and use of inspection and test equipment within calibration • Investigation and resolution of supplier and manufacturing issues • Support or attend internal and customer-facing meetings • Proofreading and issuing project-specific technical drawings • Setting up, maintaining, and reporting analytical data /metrics • Providing regular reports with reference to tracking spreadsheets, job route cards, defect reports, and registers • Supporting Procurement with supplier auditing • Control of calibrated equipment and adherence to schedules • Ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures Key Skills: • Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously • Significant inspection experience in a precision engineering environments • HNC or equivalent in a technical discipline • Experience working with complex component and assembly drawings specifications and procedures • Ability to use CAD packages for troubleshooting inspection tasks • Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications • Experience with a range of inspection equipment such as Verniers, Gauges, and Micrometers • Ability • Ability to prepare inspection reports/first article reports • Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design • Mechanical/ Electrical fitting skills • Preferred experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry or similar If you are a Quality Engineer looking for that next stage in your career then please apply
