They current require a Purchasing Specialist to support ongoing projects. Job Role – Purchasing Specialist – Raw Materials Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain the Purchasing Specialist shall identify/source suppliers, assess and manage capacity for key raw material supplies. Then launch a project for scheduled automated raw material ordering. Duties – Purchasing Specialist – Raw Materials • Define and establish procurement policy and strategy for all materials and services. • Develop and sustain relationships with key suppliers and establish an agility to the supply base to support business performance and growth. • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to include price, quality, delivery, and service level performance metrics to obtain and maintain optional value for money. • Develop supplier risk assessment process to measure and rank supplier performance and risk to the business. • Develop a supply chain approach which ensures agreed inventory and lead-times. Consistent with demand and in line with working capital constraints. Experience/Qualifications – Quality Engineer • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) membership or equivalent qualification. • Experience managing raw material commodities.
