Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic Purchasing Manager with a strong background in the automotive aftermarket parts industry and exceptional business acumen. The ideal candidate will lead our purchasing efforts, driving strategic procurement initiatives, and ensuring the availability of high-quality parts at competitive prices. Responsibilities: * Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans to meet the company's goals and objectives. * Identify and qualify suppliers of automotive aftermarket parts, negotiating favourable terms and pricing agreements. * Monitor market trends, anticipate supply shortages or price fluctuations, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, inventory management, and product development teams, to ensure the highest levels of product availability are upheld whilst maintaining and improving the overall cost base. * Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed. * Stay informed about industry developments, new products, and emerging technologies in the automotive aftermarket parts sector. * Manage the purchasing budget and track margins to ensure cost-effective procurement practices. * Lead, mentor, and develop purchasing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within the automotive aftermarket parts industry. * Deep understanding of automotive parts sourcing, including OEM, Far East, and European with a strong familiarity with industry suppliers and manufacturers. * Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. * Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. * Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking. * Display strong project management skills and the ability to lead and mentor teams.
