Our clients are looking for the right candidate to join their team as a Purchase Ledger, someone who has bookkeeping knowledge, excellent organisation skills & ability to work to deadlines. As a Purchase ledger for our clients, you process, invoices and expenses, assist with cash management and bank reconciliation as part of the finance team. Purchase Ledger role: Allocate payments and receipts to sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers. Obtaining approval of purchase invoices and credit notes received. Posting invoices and credit notes, ensuring they are correctly coded in the system. Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations / Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs. Open new supplier accounts in line with company procedures and maintaining existing account details. Making payments via BACS and cheques To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented. Purchase Ledger Requirements: A solid understanding and knowledge of: Double entry bookkeeping & Purchase, sales and general ledgers. Knowledge of White Vision invoice processing software or similar product is preferable.
