PSV Technician needed Newtownabbey Our client, one of the largest privately owned transport companies in the UK, is seeking for a PSV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will delivering high standards of mechanical and electrical repair and enjoy working as part of team. Role: PSV Technician Hours: Monday – Thursday; 4:30pm – 3:30 am (10.5 Hour Days paid / half hour lunch not paid) Location: Newtownabby Responsibilities: * Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets * Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders * Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature * Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools * Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio – Zero (right first time) * Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs * Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance * Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times Requirements: * City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is Preferred * Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs * Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives * Safety awareness and be committed to a right first-time ethos * A flexible and can-do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative * HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred * Experience with Tail lifts is desirable Benefits: * Enrolled in a company Health Care Scheme. * Holidays will be x8 Stat Days and then 21Days floating. / Additional Leave Entitlement with Service. * Pension Scheme, * Death in Service, * 60% discount on Beta Tools #psvtechnician #bustechnician #psvmechanic #publicservicevehiclestechnician
