We are now looking for a PSV Technician to work on a permanent basis with our busy and friendly client based in Reading, Berkshire. This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge and problem solving skills. The bit about the shift pattern: - Day Shift = Monday to Friday 08.00am to 04.30pm The bit about the pay and perks: - £17.00 per hour + Overtime always available at £25.50 per hour - A bonus of £25.00 per shift (£125 weekly) - Company pension - Generous holiday allowance - Ongoing training and development opportunities - Full PPE provided for all climate conditions The bit about the duties: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements - Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles - Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems - Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues - Order parts and materials as needed for repairs - Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment The bit about the required skills: - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles - Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment - Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions and brakes - Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines - Initiative to work autonomously if required.
