Our Client, a World recognised and respected Automotive OEM Manufacturer based in rural Warwickshire, are actively seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their highly successful team with immediate effect on a Contract basis (Inside IR35). On offer to the successful candidate is a competitive hourly rate, together with overtime available and payable at an enhanced rate. As their Vehicle Technician, you will be required to prepare, service and maintain prototype vehicles / bucks to facilitate both whole vehicle & component testing. You will also support overseas testing. Your duties and responsibilities will be: Follow H&S guidelines. Housekeeping duties. Vehicle service and repair. Vehicle test preparation. Strip and inspect parts. Measure components. Fabrication of components. HV component assembly and operation (training provided). Liaise with system and development engineers regarding possible issues identified. Problem solving to aid in solution of current vehicle issues. You will have the following qualifications & experience: Must have a minimum Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification or higher. Should be an experienced Vehicle Technician who has previously worked in a Garage or Full Vehicle Service/Repair environment. A methodical Technician with an eye for detail and accuracy is a must here. You will be adept in Failure investigations and problem solving. You should be able to work across functional teams effectively. A positive, can do attitude is a must. Your ability to travel to support engineering partners & suppliers (UK & worldwide) is essential. It’s great if you also have the following: HV safety training. Prioritize multiple tasks on a day-to-day level. Must be flexible and able to communicate at all levels. Willingness to achieve targets. This position is available with immediate effect.
