Position Title: Propulsion Facility Projects Lead Planner - 39709 Division: Engineering Operations Location: Coventry Position Description: This role supports across our Facilities & Infrastructure team, working within the Project Management Office (PMO). The Facilities & Infrastructure team deliver capital investment projects with a typical cumulative annual spend in excess of £30m. This investment is split across an exciting portfolio of projects serving various business sites. Projects include site development, buildings construction, equipment design and integration. The Lead Planner role is a key management, expertise and stakeholder relationship role within the team; the successful candidate will work alongside our team of delivery Project Managers and construction / technology vendors and will be responsible for developing, integrating and managing project and programme/portfolio schedules across the full project lifecycle. This is to ensure planning excellence, schedule adherence, risk and change management are applied consistently across the projects. Skills Required: * Project Management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2, APM * Advanced level user of key planning and scheduling software, including Microsoft Project. * Working knowledge of gateway delivery processes to aid project lifecycle planning (e.g. RIBA). Experience Required: * Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience, preferred in construction or technology sector * 3+ years planning experience in construction / technology sector Project and Programme delivery * Experience of having planned and (supported) delivered projects from conception through to handover and completion. * Can escalate critical enablers, key milestones and dependencies to PMs and leadership team * Skilled in the 'ground-up' design, gathering, interpretation, integration and critique of multiple, concurrent plans and activities within a project and/or programme. * Able to determine critical path, dependency logic and make recommendations to/consult with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery. * Experience with tailoring schedules and their visualisation for differing audiences and purposes, whilst maintaining accuracy of data * Experienced in working with multiple external vendors, with the ability to challenge and assist in the optimisation of their inputs * Compilation of management level reports and KPIs to support reviews * Demonstrable experience of change management Experience Preferred: * Use of diverse project planning toolsets, e.g. Primavera P6, Wrike, Planview * Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies and tools, e.g. Jira Development and/or implementation of milestone processes / tracking
