Project Manager | Milton Keynes | up to £60,000 per annum Ford & Stanley are working closely with one of the UK's largest Rail Overhaul and Maintenance companies to assist with the recruitment of a project management. This company has a solid reputation in the rail industry, known for delivering high-quality engineering and maintenance services and your role would be to typically deliver fleet upgrade programmes, managing two major projects and two minor projects at any one time. This is a commercial management position as opposed to technical engineering and we are looking for someone who can “keep score” of ongoing projects – i.e plan, manage and deliver over the full life-cycle of the project. Key responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resources. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and completion of projects within budget and schedule, while adhering to their quality standards and safety protocols. Stakeholder Communication and Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Maintain clear, consistent communication to ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and progress, while managing expectations and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the project and implement strategies to mitigate them. Proactively monitor project activities to anticipate potential issues, ensuring that any obstacles are addressed swiftly to avoid project delays or budget overruns.
