Project Controller – Attractive – Permanent – Leicestershire – Defence and Aviation A Project Controller is required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems Company. The Project Controller will support the Project/Program Manager/s in the delivery of Programmes. The Project Controller will be accountable for the construction and maintenance of Project Control reporting systems and data sets within approved budgets. The Project Controller will also be supporting Project/Program Manager/s in the generation of estimates and price proposals. Project Controller – Key Responsibilities Collect and maintain data in support of Management Reporting. Assist in the compilation of periodic reports. Supporting Project activities and deliverables as required. Co-ordination of activities required by the Project across multiple disciplines. Generation and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure and Organisation BS. In co-ordination with the functional leads generate and maintain Work Packages. Maintenance of the Project Cost Reports and support to the Programme. Tracking and reporting of Project Milestone achievements. Assist in the compilation and management of periodic Project Progress Reports. Ensure interfaces between functions are co-ordinated. Develop close working relationships with Customer representatives. Support the Project in the generation of estimates and price proposals for new business Administer external meetings and maintenance of the Project Action Register. Administration and maintenance of the Project Risk database in the company risk tool. Maintenance of the Programme Action Register. Create Program Launch packs in conjunction with the Project/Programme Managers. Technical Skills and Experience for Project Controller Experience in a similar role and proven organisational and planning skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within structured protocols. Ability to work concurrently on several activities. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Strong inter-personal and people management skills. Strong business and commercial acumen and knowledge of risk registers Proven experience in being able to work independently in the delivery of Project tasks. Proven experience in Project Control and the basic Project lifecycle. Previous experience of working in an engineering/design and production environment. Earned Value Management knowledge and implementation. Capable of constructing elements of a Project control system across all disciplines. Experience in managing small Programmes or sub-sets of Programmes Good working knowledge of Microsoft office toolsets (Project, Excel and PowerPoint). Self-motivated and a good team player with the ability to build strong working relationships. Able to work effectively and proficiently either remotely or onsite. Willingness and ability to travel in the UK and to overseas occasionally (if required).
