Job Title: Production Planner                                     Location: Coleshill Birmingham   Salary: Competitive  Contract Type: Permanent Our client is a market leading engineering and manufacturing business located in the Birmingham area currently recruiting for a Production Controller to join the business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years planning experience and have good knowledge of SAP and Excel. Key Responsibilities – Production Planner Developing production schedules for individual areas of responsibility. Defining and disseminating best practices in operations planning, inventory management, and resource utilization. Collaborating with customer service to determine suitable delivery dates. Evaluating production lead times. Collaborating with production planners and shift leaders to enhance production efficiency through SMART planning. Participating in daily production meetings specific to the assigned area of responsibility. Generating purchase orders for necessary parts.  Assessing back orders, existing orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule production operations. Tracking raw material and outsourced component stocks.
