Production Planner / Luton / up to £22 per hour Our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation, are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Planner. As a Production Planner, your primary responsibility is to maintain production schedules that align with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). You will oversee the entire manufacturing chain to guarantee that all products meet the required build standards and are produced within specified time frames. In addition, you will be responsible for managing work in progress status within SAP and expediting internal items to ensure compliance with the MPS. Key Responsibilities: Review, release, and manage internal Production/Service orders in accordance with the MPS/Customer plan. Expedite work through the Production areas on a daily basis, monitoring capacity and scheduling production/service orders on SAP. Coordinate operations completed by vendors with Delivery and Logistics teams. Implement FRB/MRB actions, attending MRB meetings and ensuring dispositioned material is handled accordingly. Liaise with Industrial Engineering to ensure accurate rework descriptions and timings are added. Deliver kits to and from all Manufacturing and Engineering areas. Advise relevant internal stakeholders of any delays likely to impact the achievement of MPS, proposing re-prioritisation of work within the plan. Attend and contribute to daily Production reviews. Communicate closely with the Material Supply team regarding material availability for the agreed plan. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required: Experience with SAP is essential. Planning experience in a production environment is preferred. Ability to meet deadlines and excellent organisational skills. Analytical and logical nature with a strong desire for continuous improvement. Adaptability and flexibility. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
