Product Service Engineer - Electrification My global Automotive engineering company is looking for an experienced Product Service Engineer to work on a brand new product portfolio.The role will involve being the product service engineer supporting the energy transition moving from diesel to electric. As the Product Support Engineer, you will be responsible for product support execution for new product development, market introduction, product health and product improvement. This role will take direct ownership for a major product line within the electric division offerings to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality objectives are being delivered. This is a technical hands on role where you will be liaising between engineering and non technical business functions in regards to various technical solutions Essential Skills 5+ years working in a Product Support background. 5+ years data gathering and analysis Electrification experience would be highly desirable or energy transfer. Diesel to Electric engine product experience Root cause analysis for new products Data review experience Demonstrable experience displaying mechanical aptitude and the ability to relay information to technical professionals. Evidence of an ability to communicate and asses impact across the wider business Support and lead continuous improvement projects Is Customer focused Interacting and coordinating with multiple teams, divisions and customer s thought the business Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Salesforce, PowerBi and engineering internal systemsDesirable Electrification or energy transfer experienceKey Duties Take the lead within the product support team to identify system or process improvement opportunities and initiate action to deliver solutions. Communicating improvement opportunities within the electric division to ensure alignment and integration On-going management of the product quality systems and processes to meet defined quality targets Support New Product Introduction readiness plans and strategies for new electrification and advanced power offerings. Provide SME support of products to internal partners and dealerships. Work across functional teams to identify, launch, support and communicate Continuous Product Improvement projects to improve product performance. Develop appropriate procedures and plans to ensure product quality and evaluate results to identify functional deficiencies. Correcting design flaws as needed. Evaluate production processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design. Modify designs to maximise production efficiency and product quality. Solicit and gather internal and external feedback to identify potential new products and/or improvements to existing products that improve product serviceability. Write technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance. Track and manage the status of projects from inception to release. Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective actions to minimise impact to our customers. Conduct dealer and customer visits to provide support for new product introduction or assist with technical issues.This is a great opportunity to join a global market leading company and work on exciting brand new products.
