We are working with a wholesale company within the automotive industry for the following postiion: - Product Development & Purchasing Please note this is a Full Time role on site (Mon-Fri) (40hrs pw) Requirements * Must have knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle /Trailer parts/Automotive industry in a product/purchasing/sales environment. * Negotiation skills * Must be confident with suppliers either face to face or over the telephone. * Organized and punctual * Good level of computer skills, Office 365, Excel/Word. * Knowledge of MAM Autopart system would be an advantage although full training will be given. Role and Responsibilities * Assisting on our product development program. Liaising with current and potential suppliers with regards to our parts requirements * Negotiating with suppliers to ensure we remain competitive. * Managing suppliers to maintain our excellent service and availability levels. * Analyzing parts requirements using our in-house system and suggesting/placing orders with suppliers * Involvement in product introduction, marketing, product presentation. * Will also be expected to meet suppliers face to face and some travel to suppliers/trade exhibitions may be required. This could involve overseas travel
