Procurement Manager / Luton / Up to £70 per hour PAYE Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge in the realm of cutting-edge technology and shape the future of the aerospace and defence industry? We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement professional to join our fast-growing project area in Luton, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the supply chain of tomorrow for our key portfolio of products. What You'll Do: Take accountability for procurement activities within integrated project teams. Forecast and report sub-contract spend using local procedures and templates. Manage supplier performance through relationship building and contractual application. Negotiate complex agreements with appropriate incentive models. Translate customer/project requirements into commercial documents. Mitigate risk associated with commercial agreements. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and mitigate commercial/contractual risks. Drive and lead strategies to influence business decisions throughout the project life cycle. Draft and prepare complex contract documentation using standard and non-standard formats. Lead contracts and supply chain management Life Cycle Management (LCM) deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and critical success factors. Manage Export Compliance, restrictions, and third-party rights for all procured items and services. What We Need From You: Essential: Advanced knowledge and experience as a commercial/procurement advisor. Technical training to degree standard, professional qualification, and/or significant domain experience (MCIPS preferred). Demonstrated collaboration, communication, planning, problem-solving, influencing, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills. Good working knowledge and understanding of Procurement within the Defence/Aerospace industry or similar sectors. Ability to create beneficial relationships with cross-functional colleagues, customers, and suppliers. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and provide value using data and analysis. Understanding of Commercial and Legal Aspects associated with contracting within the Defence/Aerospace industry or similar sectors. Ability to think 'outside the box' and offer innovative solutions. Ability to engage and influence cross-functional/cross-site teams.Desirable: Understanding of Export Compliance associated with contracting within the Defence/Aerospace industry or similar sectors.
