Are you an experienced Principal Stress Engineer looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and innovative environment? We are currently seeking a highly skilled individual to join the Stress team at a leading engineering consultancy firm. As a Principal Stress Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and guidance to our team. You will be responsible for project delivery across a range of sectors, including automotive, aerospace, heavy industry, mining, rail, marine, and more. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting product development from concept through to physical product. Working with the Altair Hyperworks suite, you will be involved in both implicit and explicit simulation to ensure the success of our projects. Your role will be collaborative, working closely with the CAE manager to determine resource needs and drive department development. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of applied experience in stress simulation, with a degree in mechanical, automotive, or aerospace engineering. Extensive experience with Altair OPTISTRUCT, RADIOSS, LS-Dyna, nCode, and FEMFAT is highly desirable. Knowledge of non-linear analysis, metallic and composite structures, and best practices in stress analysis is essential. In addition, practical experience in the automotive, aerospace, or motorsport industry, as well as familiarity with TeamCentre, CATIA V5, or Siemens NX, would be advantageous. Working towards or achieving Chartership status with the IMechE/IET (or similar) is also a plus.
