Powertrain Components & Systems - Facilities Technician This role can be Outside IR35 On-site at West Midlands Powertrain Test facility: Involved in design, validation and productionisation of Fuel Injection Equipment components. Key Responsibilities & activities: Day to day running of the Diesel Test Rigs. This will include: Installation and set-up of components and instrumentation for test Completion of tests, including creating automated test scripts where needed, plus basic results checking / analysis where needed and reporting of results Liaison with customers (internal Engineering staff) and suppliers (Administration Dept., and external contractors / suppliers) Basic maintenance, fault finding, & problem solving of relevant equipment H&S and Environmental compliance aspects, as relevant. Close working with other test staff to develop consistent methods and processes. Job Requirements: Proven experience in powertrain and diesel engine testing. Familiarity with engine components, fuel systems, and their functionalities. Capability to conduct rigorous mechanical and electromechanical tests. Skilled in mechanical fitting and installation within a test environment. Exceptional communication skills to interface with engineering teams.
